THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Hmm so the girl that got betrayed by her own partners in the previous episode survived..

Not much action this episode and is more like a buildup again for the next battle. Felt pretty meh overall. Houhou and Soran better get some payback.

So the scary big-sis can feel fear too. Now this is amusing.
And yeah I agree with Jo Yon that said IF only Houhou can be a little bit more girly, she can "surpass" the scary big-sis. LOL

Well nothing amazing ...they wasted 1 episode with zero action and well zero...
Main char is stil 2/10... Another fail season where any secondary char is more suitable for the main protagonist..

This was probably the worst episode of the series so far. Let's not even talk about the obvious animation quality problems, this happens to anyone, they probably used up all the money in the last action-packed episodes.
But how about some decent pacing and atmosphere? Things get serious with the girl's flashback, and then this guy beats her up, and all of a sudden they get into a long-drawn stupid argument with Cho Soran that totally kills all the tension.
And afterwards again, Jo San is trying to negotiate and is being all serous, but main character makes funny faces and gets beaten up. It's like anime creators thought that viewers don't have enough brain cells to handle serious topics, so let's throw in some pointless bickering and comical faces to lighten things up.
And where is common sense here? If Cho Soran was so important and they were sure the evil organisation will not stop trying to get him, how come they didn't make anyone guard him? He just got kidnapped, that would be logical to have someone watch over him. But nope, let's just let a loli with a psyduck kidnap him again.
Also, hypocritical much? Jo San says their organisation exists just to help people with special abilities and to prevent crime, and not to control them. And then the other Jo (via Houhou) literally beats up Cho Soran to make him join the organisation. That somehow does not coincide with what Jo San said!
I know this anime was supposed to be just silly action, and I have nothing against that, but now the anime is already getting too stupid to be enjoyable.

So it seems the Express Delivery group protect wider society from rouge outsiders, while Zensei encourages outsiders to be free of rules.
Looks like were getting two new characters as well next week.

The comic timing is way off. Wish they would cut down on that.

E.g. Jo Yon was having this serious scene in the jail cell and up to the point where Soran taps him on the shoulder, it's all cool...then suddenly they get into a silly 3-way argument complete with chibi forms.

That part in Jo San's office with Soran having those weird faces is unnecessary also--they should just draw him normally. It just takes away so much from his cool-factor (which is probably already in the negatives.)

Still loving this series though. =]

Do the writers not even pay attention to their own script ? Talking about how great their organization is, how it is helping the outsiders etc.. and then beating the MC up to force him to join even though he clearly doesn't want to -_-

that and the comedy/serious switch in the interrogation scene. i just don't get this series' comedy at all. I kept watching because i liked how houhou uses the knives in fights, but it seems I might be reaching my limit.

there is a good story in here somewhere, let down by some awful writing and really shitty animation. Its still enjoyable for some reason.

Okay, first off, I don't know if this was something I just missed or not, but their faces just look off. Like, every now and then, they will stare at the screen, and their faces will just look weird. Anyway, I only even watched this episode because main girl and out of curiosity as to what happened to the red head, now I know. One heck of a backstory she got, I'd be pissed off too if I was her. Seriously though, this is just like Sousei no Onmyouji, but better, yet somehow still not really worth watching too me.

This episode has left me wondering, why do the guys kind of all suck so far, in different ways, while the girls are all at least pretty cool. Like seriously, we got whiny annoying main guy who is also suppose to super cool guy but isn't. Boring other guy who seems to exist for the purpose of explaining stuff. The glasses evil kid who I just really don't care about at all. And then we get introduced to that jerk guy who beat up the red head who I just hate right now.

Meanwhile, we got super cool emotionless girl who I stuck through this lame show for because she is freaking awesome and pretty funny. Tragic backstory red head who is suddenly way better than all the male characters so far now that I understand her a bit. And the seductive pink hair lady who seems like she could seriously kick some butt, has one heck of a power, and is pretty... weird... Anyway, ain't sticking around any longer, I'm out y'all, hope the rest of you can find some enjoyment out of this, but I'm jumping ship here.

I think that he guy didn't run away from the doll' sack to find WHO are the ones that are looking for him and solve the case? instead of run awy and beeing pursued for the next time.

Agreed. Its like one minute some guy is beating up this girl and then the next they have some stupid arguement in a bootleg chibi style

Man, I hate the new guy - the one who was beating up the girl, I mean. Don't know his name, don't care. Guy's logic is ass backwards. Dude's nothing but a psycho.

The "comedy" scene in the interrogation room reminded me of the comedy in Bungou Stray Dogs.....and I really disliked that series. So after good cop/bad cop, we got the corpse story. Not badly done and then we got to my favorite scene......Hostess Girl beating up on worthless MC. Ahhh......she got to do what I would like to do, but at least it got done.

I love my Hostess Girl =

So you supossed me to believe that the Delivery Express are good guys? Extensive beatings, making Soran to accept under duress, questionable ways of investigation... Compared to them Zensei have not done anything that wrong so far.

I would love to see Zensei flopping floor with them. Especially the new guy and Sadako.

The brutal beating were not fun.

The ending was stupid. He should have freed himself right when he was attacked. On the other hand it seems that everything is better than Sadako and her "friends".

I agree this show does not know if it wants tobe serious or funny and too often falls somewhere in the crappy middle.
